ABOUT MINDY'S COMEDY ARCHIVES
MINDY'S COMEDY ARCHIVES is a visual podcast featuring intimate interviews with the people who have been an instrumental part of the New York comedy community for the past 20 years. In each episode, our guest flips through a chronological stack of photos (starting with their very first "Mindy") using each image to unlock specific memories about their evolution in comedy. We'll touch on memories of early struggles and day jobs, to breakthroughs, friendships, and career shifts in an ever-changing industry. The photos ground the conversation in real moments, while an overhead camera captures a live collage as stories unfold. Each episode ends with the question, “Do you remember your first joke?” and a portrait session that adds a new image to the archive. Hosted by longtime scene photographer Mindy Tucker, who began documenting comedians in 2006, the show is both a personal time capsule and a broader portrait of how the New York comedy community has grown and continues to change over the years.
